Dr. Molly O´Neal
A former U.S. diplomat, Molly O’Neal will be a Fulbright Scholar in Germany hosted by the International Studies Center at the Technical University in Dresden in spring of 2020. Dr. O’Neal earned her PhD at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 2012, specializing in Russian and Eurasian studies, international political economy, and American foreign policy. She is currently a visiting researcher at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin, studying intra-EU politics and populist challenges to the European Union. She is an adjunct assistant professor and professorial lecturer in political science at Baylor University and in the honors undergraduate program of the University of Texas at Austin. In 2015-16, she was a Fulbright Research Scholar and lecturer at Collegium Civitas in Warsaw. She has also taught at American University in Washington, DC.
She is the author of Democracy, Civic Culture and Small Business in Russia’s Regions: Social Processes in Comparative Historical Perspective. (Routledge, 2016) and articles in Post-Soviet Affairs, Eurasian Geography and Economics, The International Spectator, and Czas Kultury.
